Red face Would you say I've lost my mind if ............

Be honest people, I have been toying with the idea of tradeing my '07 Road king Classic for an '09 Nite Rod. I know I would miss the baggage of my King, but I have liked the V-Rod since it came out in '02. Let's here it, how nuts am I if I do this? I'm actually looking for opinions either way.

I wouldn't say you lost your mind. I've had my DX for a little over a month now and love it. I would consider gettting rid of the Ultra if there was a cheap/easy way to have the storage and amenities that the Ultra has on it. Of course its not quite as comfortable on longer trips but thats still with the stock seat etc...

It depends on the type of riding you plan for the future. If you're going long distance I would say you might be losing it a little

Look in the 2009 parts catalog and see if there are enough storage options to meet your needs. Other than that issue, it's a no-brainer.

If you ride the V-rod, any V-rod, you will lose your mind. Don't worry, it usually catches up at the next traffic light or Stop sign.
If the DX is the bike you want, you've only lost your mind if you don't get it!! But give the other VRSCs a chance too. The DX might not be the right bike for you.

You can't really go wrong IMO. ALL harleys are works of art and they know what the hell they are doing. They try to entice you into with new models. If the rocker was the only model they made, I would still buy one of them before other makes. I love them all (harleys)!!!

Just buy the night rod, my better half (bless her heart) won't let me get rid of our 02 Electra Glide Classic but she said if I want, "go buy another Harley sportbike" to satisfy my craving....

Not this year but next I am going to add a V-Rod to my EGC.
She doesn't want to be on anything but a decker, but I can have fun by myself on the V-Rod.
