And dope_man_21- \\;you can post any timeslip you want, it doesn't mean that it came from the bike you're referring to. I can post a 9 second slip and tell you it's from a 1976 Honda 750 - WITH A FEW MODS - but I'd be just a full of sh*t as you are it seems.
You better be talking about a Supercharged, Turbocharged or Nitrous injected Dyna before you start throwing around those numbers, and that's a far cry from "SCREAMIN EAGLE DYNA with a few mods". \\;Admit you're full of it, you've got more than "a few mods", or \\;you're going to have to come to Kansas and school this fool before I believe the BS you're slinging around here.

My V-Rod Runs 10s, and with allot fewer mods than a Dyna that runs mid 12s.
That's total BS anyway. I have a friend with 30k+ in his dyna, that he bought used, so almost 20k in mods. It's still slower than my Night Rod was stock. He's done everything you can do, except forced induction, it's stroked, bored, polished and ported... compression way up there. It's making almost 130hp/130tq. Doesn't matter, it's a 700ilb air-cooled pushrod bike that's done making power by 5500rpm and will blow the engine apart if you approach 7k... you gotta look at the gearing too, VRSCs are geared way lower than Twinkies because they rev way higher, so we don't run out of gearing. My 120hp is producing more motive force at the pavement than his 130hp because I'm geared down, and I can still stay in first past 60mph, by that time he's in third, and given up so much mechanical advantage, he's barely pulling.
They'll both pull hard off the line, all that tq means you can be lazy with your clutch work, as you don't need the engine spinning so fast to get moving, and get off the line fast, the V will take a little more know-how, but it will still pull a high 1.4 60" with the right rider stock (maybe not those crappy stock tires).
I'm sorry to anyone who bought their twinky thinking they were going to make it fast... good luck with that...
No offense intended, but if you're surprised by this, you have allot to learn about what makes a vehicle fast...

Monk, did you switch to a 30 tooth? I only get 56mph before I have to shift to second. At least I can do 0-60 in under 3.2 seconds. My bike is stock, on city streets with the Dunlops all the other V-rodders seem to hate. I know because I have cop friends with the latest and greatest radar and lidar equipment that have timed me. They were just curious if the police issue bikes stood a chance against a V-rod. The answer is "No they don't". Not that I care, I wouldn't put my friends in that position.

I had an '07 Dyna Super Glide with the 96 engine and my friend bought an '08 Nightrod Special. We got on a straight road and did a roll on and all I can say is that if he didn't let off the gas he would have vanished in the distance. It wasn't even close. The V-Rods will do this to dang near any stock and or modified air cooled cruiser. The only cruiser that can hang with the Rod is Suzuki's M109. Both bikes have cruiser frames with sportbike engines.
