Default Profinish Protection for V-Rod

Hi,

I finally got my bike and it's all legal and it's WAY better than I ever thought. It has a sick custom paint job and I want to protect it, escpecially where the seat is against the cover. I tried to contact the Profinish person - but I think his account was hacked or something... what does everyone use to protect the paint?

Thx.

A wing and a prayer. Chipping is a way of life, if you ride the bike and don't just store it. There is a product that is used on autos (gm dealers) that is suppose to be chip proof (sure) but it may help. It's usually a thicker clear epoxy coating.

Nothing other than don't ride it. I use REJEX all over the bike except tires.

I'm living on this bike all summer so not riding is out. OK - i'll look into those products. I thought there was one that had a clear film cut to the shape of the bike - if I find it i'll post on this thread.

There's 3M clear film that is usually supplied with the bags so they don't rub the paint. After a while they dry out or yellow and generally flake off. But to cover an entire bike, might look good at the beginning, but later on.....

Tank bra to protect the paint from the seat, but remove it at every washing and inspect the underside.

Several good coats of wax for the rest of the paint. [\\]

You can purchase the clear pc of protective tape that the MOCO uses on its stock air box covers that is at the seat.&nbsp\\; Go to you local HD dealer for help, I put them on my custom paint set and my wife's.
