i ain't gonna tell you that's a common occurence, but never say never.

I have owned several Harley Davidson bikes and have ridden just about every model they have. I can tell you that the Sportster is not going to outrun a vrod ever. No stock 03 Sportster would stand a chance against a stock any year vrod.
I put nitroturbo4u in the stupid category. If he has nitro on his sportster, then sure, he can keep up with a stock vrod. He was probably shifting at 4,000 rpm, cause that is what he has to do on his girly little sporty.

More importaintly (to those of us with regular V-Rods)
"Herr. Monk----
FYI - I went 11.499 on a bone stock Screamin Eagle V-Rod. with A 1.72 60' time. Last year on the Screamin Eagle Replica bike I went 11.54 and Eddie went 11.56---two different bikes.
Andrew"
A stock sporty won't go near that.

Hey I'm a Dyna-rider of the bobber variety but I love the V-Rod. And actually I love sporties too. Come to think of it I want a street glide someday too. As Mr King muttered; Can't we all just get along? HeHeHeHe.
