Default V-Rod Hybrid – Is it possible?

I would like a V- Rod / Fatboy Hybrid with a V-Rod motor wheels suspension; In short can I buy a motorcycle kit for a V-Rod to make it into a Fatboy? Or any other Softail for that matter

Wait a few years - goverment regulations will force H-D to put something like the Revolution in the rest of the product line.

with enough money ... anything is possible

But like it has been said above, it is likely that liquid cooled engines are coming within the next 5 years to meet emissions issues. Get another bike now and upgrade when they start making the bike you want now in a few years for a lot less cash then the conversion would take

... just because HD may have to go liquid cooled (I think the S&S X-Wedge shows us they won't have to), I'm sure the big V-Twins will be as close to their air cooled prediessors as possible, probably as small a radiator as possible, and stilll have the cooling fins to keep the look. I don't see the Revolution making its way onto other models. Revolution does not eqaul liquid cooled, it's its own beast. I'm sure if harley goes liquid across the board, they will still be making mostly 45 degree, big stroke engines, not high rev 60 degree powerplants...

That said, with $$$ I'm sure you could find someone to make a frame that would fit the Rev. engine, but looks like a fat-boy, use the fatboy forks, wheels, e&. Best of luck to you, sounds baddass.

Anything is possible, but H-D put as much engineering into the frame as they did the engine. I'm not sure I'd want to give up what I have to make the bike look like something it isn't. I'm happy with my D just the way it is.

Wow, Herr... I'm glad I've found someone who agrees with me! Everyone else seems to think that the Rev's are coming in, in a hue way! No way man, HD is going to retain the current, yet timeless classic look, even if there is a water pump on the motor... Like your point about the X Wedge too... Never thought about it like that. Helluva motor that's for sure... Can't wait to tare one'of'them, suckas apart!

there'd be a few things to consider... like the velocity stacks being relocated, which is why the tank is under the seat... originally the engineers wanted the bike to be a softail style (if you watch the Birth of the V-Rod DVD) but couldnt make the under the frame shock set up work with the tank so... no you probaly will never see a softail style Revolution motor set up
