Hey ~ replace it with a sports windscreen, replace the fiberglass luggage with throw over saddle bags and I'd ride it hard and long. Even if you insisted on the luggage, that windshield has GOT to go.

I do a lot of long distance riding on mine. I set mine up like a V-Rod Roadking.

My nephew has a Street Rod and he rode it on our trip to Tennessee and back this spring. We also made several trips to Northern Michigan this summer and many weekendrides of 2 and 300 miles, and he has no complaints. He's 25 and I believe that makes a big difference. I rode it for about a half hour and my neck and shoulders were hurting. I'm 55 and couldn't handle the riding position. I was very impressed with the machine, though. Very powerful motorcycle and handled very well. Quite smooth I might add.

Go for it.

I went all the way to Holland from Greece with my V Rod.

Had two huge bags I could actually fit 2 dead bodys in them.

For smaller distances (like 3 day rides) I use a small bag on the rear that is pretty comfortable and holds a lot of stuff inside.

I ll look for pictures eventually.

I have a windshield witch improves things just a little bit.
