Thats what people have been saying to me...They ve been saygin that you can already find a Revolution engine from S&S, tried searching in their website and didn t find anything.
Have you heard anything? I think it is gonna be kind of hard cause the enginge needs a totally different type of body frame.

Last time I heard they were only selling the new motors to people who build complete bikes for the retail market. I think it's a great design, but not quite finished ascetically. I hate the pushrod tubes. I would rather see a one piece cover and a few other changes.

"People" are probably talking about the "X Wedge" it is a 3 cam air cooled pushrod engine and uses a timing belt. It is not a Revolution engine. It is a alternate engineto the air cooled harley based engine.
its available to Big Dog Motorcycles, Roger Bourget, Tim Edmondson, Cory Ness, and Bill Rucker.

I talked to my HD mechanical type guy and he is sold on the x-wedges. It'll be interesting to know how a 'basic' 117 ci x-wedge will perform with respect to costs.
Although I'll probably keep my 'old' '00 FXD forever, I'm most certainly looking for a second bike .. good thingmyFXD is, and has been,a bullet proof ride so I'm not in any hurry. Bottom line, the v-rod is a very cool looking scooter, has water cooled going for it BUT,it NEEDSmore displacement and ponies. AT 125r.w.h.p. and 100ft/lbs of tq ~ I think it starts becoming an interesting alternative in the bigv-twinmarket.

Sounds like a lot of the Japanese cars where the timing belt requires changing every few years. (It looks pretty straightforward per the article) I'm not an expert, by any means, but the Master Mechanic I spoke with is certainly sold on them. I read the URL, above, and am curious on the h.p./tq specs on the 117 c.i.d. given much of the motivation to develop it wasmeeting EPA requirements.
