I was out riding today with a group of friend when two bikers came up behid us and passed every quickly. One guy was riding a red dnya while the other was a vrod. Dnya passed no prob. When the Vrod came by i glanced as best i could, because he was gone as fast as he came. But it was the loudest bike i had ever heard before. I cringed my teeth and it shook my body. Literally as he passed! I couldn't believe it. They were a two into one system. They looked kinda like a thunderheader? Does anyone know are thunderheaders that da** loud? Taking the baffels out maybe?

 

My fatboy has thunder headers and they are definitely loud. I wouldn't think they would make someone cringe, but it's possible.

 

If i remeber correct, thats what the pipes looked like. But he passed me very quick. I'll have to keep looking around for some sound clips or something.

 

Maybe a rinehart 2 into 1 or a vance and hines propipe?

 

Most likely a CFR. The Rinehart's and V&H are loud but I think the CFR has them beat, at least for 2:1.

Now if you pull the baffles out that may be another story. My Brother, who drag races cars, says my bike is "excessively loud"

I got no exhausts on my bike...nothing at all...you should hear THAT...just came back from Super Rally in Amsterdam...mine must had been the loudest bike there. Wait till I remove my cat and install an electronically adjustable exhaust...press one button noise is dead...press it again...and brake some ear drums.

 

UPDATE: There was a bike show today and crazy thing is, the guy in the vrod passed me again. lol (i honestly dont go slow anywhere, this dude just always fly's everywhere). He enters his rod into the show. Its a 1250 with a two into one thunderheader. So it was thunderheaders on that vrod that was the loudest pipes i ever heard.

one night at walmart as i was walking out of the store some guy cranked up his harley and it made me jump. ear splittin loud. i hope he wears earplugs or he will be deaf soon. they were straight, like drag pipes

 

He may not wear earplugs. I only were earplugs out on the highway, not because of my exhaust, but because of the noise that the wind rushing past my ears creates. Most of the noise of unbaffled exhaust is directed rearward and therefore away from the rider's ears.
