Default night rod special and height

Currently have a street bob with less than 1000 miles on it and already starting to reconsider my choice...the bobfits me well and I like the mid mounts and miniapes. Used to ride dirt bikes as a kid and am very used to mid mounts.

But, I REALLY like the way the NRS looks....even sat on one but the forward controls make me stretch out too much...anyone have this bike who is around 5'7" or 5'8"? How do you feel riding it? Does anyone know if mid-mountcontrols can be installed on a NRS? Thx much.

uj034 has a NightRod Special and has changed to mid-foot controls

https://www.hdforums.com/m_856839/mp.../tm.htm#856900

Although the handlebars are in a different position on the DX than on my A, the forwards for the foot controls are not. I am 5'7" and am very comfortable on my A with forwards.
