for 2008 kawasaki is coming out with a power cruiser that will blow everyone else away. concours14. cruiser with the zx14 engine. god only knows how the rod will stack up against that.
The ZX-14 and its sport-touring version the Concoursare NOT CRUISERS!!! Totally different classes of bikes! Will never see the V-Rod against the Tiger or the ZX-14 or the upcoming Concours in a head-to-head review/comparison. The Concours is a SPORT TOURER, and will be compared against the Honda ST1300, the FJR1300 and others of its ilk. The ergos, the windscreen, the stock factory bags, reveal its purpose, and it isn't for cruising city streets.

The Triumph Tiger 1050 is reviewed in a recent Motorcycle Consumer News article, and the performance specs are on par with the V-Rod... 1/4 mile times in the 11sec range, top end in the 130'smph. The Tiger is a sweet bike, but everyone is classifiying it as a sport tourer versus a power cruiser.
Sfarson, I would really like to own one of those new tigers. perfect seat for a afternoon of twists and turns. heated grips andgps and I'm gone !!! Test rode one 2 weeks ago. 2 hrs was not enough. Sorry I got off topic again !

That triplepowerplant is endearing to me. Used to own a Daytona 955i. Triumph had an open house the other day and I came away impressed with the Sprint ST. Motorcycle Consumer News recently tested the new Tiger and they liked it better than the Sprint ST as a sport tourer!
