need imput on selling bags and fairing
Hey guys... so i am thinking i am going to sell my bags and fairing. I am buying a V strom 1000 adventure touring bike, and will once again go back to a bobber on my dyna... i want to sell it as a full package and i am really not sure what all to set the prices at. i was thinking $2700-$3000 for it all, somewhere in there. i have over 3000 into it and it is not something you see everyday. It would come all plug and play ready for a dyna. be an nice option for someone thinking of street glide but not want to go street glide money... the paint work is ok... shot in single stage paint. gets it done but not 100% awesome.... was planning on re shooting to match my tins over the winter but now with the new bike coming does not make sense to have 2 touring set ups...
would include everyting, all the hardware to run the fairing, trunk, bags... all quick release (with the exception of the trunk side plates but stock sissy bar side plates work for that)
what do you guys think would be fair?
Weckless fairing
Kenwood 3.5 video head unit blue tooth, Ipod, and XM ready
Polk Audio DB, 6x9
Massive audio 480watt 2 channel
3.5 polk audio speakers in saddle bags
I pod mount
Shovel head saddle bags
edge brackets for quick release on saddle bags
trunk
wrap arond back rest
rain guard for head unit
monster cables
short tinted shiled
tall clear shield
custom work:
saddle bag inner supports
fender fills
quick release clamps
wire harness for quick release of all gear
passanger trunk
amp cage support
jackle trunk support
paint:
fairing
bags
grills
powder work:
amp cage
bracket
quick release clamps
main support brackets
hardware for saddle bags (hinges, latch, lock, all inner components)
fender fills
quick release hardware for saddle bag supports
main support on trunk
i am sure i am missing some of the work but you get the idea

Well, all I know is.. someone is getting one HECK OF A PACKAGE with all that! Definitely WAY cheaper then getting a touring bike, and the fact that its all detachable is even bigger deciding factor over a touring bike.. in my opinion at least.
Good luck man! That's some seriously awesome work you did on that setup.

I have been working on basically doing the same thing to my bike, and would have an offer for you on the set, but 3k is out of my range on it, the set up i was looking at using was a wide open customs fairing with the upgraded stereo system, ghost brackets, a set of shovel or evo bags and trunk, and i would be looking at right around 1500 to 2 k for the project. I mean dont get me wrong, you have some other trick stuff there. or if you were up for some trading we may be able to work something out. drop me a PM if you like

Good luck, Joe.
I have been trying to sell off my extra stuff...and I can tell you one thing.....people talk a good game about wanting stuf, until greenbacks are invovled...then everyone turns into a bunch of tightwad sombitches.
Everybody wants **** for free.
Like everybody bitchin' about the catylitic conversters and wanting to get rid of them....so I offered up my 2011 headpipe that was professionally gutted....offered it up for a FAIR price....and all I got was crickets chirping.
