Default Oil cooler is on the way...

I have been waiting for the UltraCool softail oil cooler for nearly a year now and I just caught wind that it is finally available. I just shelled out my hard earned money for one. The main advantage to this unit over a regular oil cooler is that is has an inboard fan hooked up to a thermostatic switch as part of the oil cooler so it effectively keep the oil much cooler than a standard oil cooler. It mounts in the same place as a horizontal mount at the bottom of the down tubes and has a nice looking cover to disguise it as well. You can see it here.

If you want more specific info feel free to contact me personally.

I sell it for a discount at $399. I think it fits all softails but I have to talk to Robert to ensure it will. I'll let you guys know. I have never even had an oil cooper so this a whole new thing for me. Most good oil coolers are in teh same price range once you figure in everything, eyt this one has the fan built in too so it actually really cools the oil.

Drew,

It looks like factory ABS might interfere with installation. Any way you could find out from Ultracool? Thanks!

I think it will interfere. I'll talk to them tomorrow and find out.

I will await the official review of the product before I can make any decisions as to whether it will be a future addition or not.
