I hope you convince them, but sorry, I'd prefer not putting indentations in my struts. Since I have the detachable hardware on my bike, I cut down a detachable side rail and hang the solo bag off that. Goes on and off in seconds and doesn't mess up the fender struts or paint on the fender.

Why re-invent the wheel?

Take a look at the Garage Leathers Solo bags. Two nylon straps between the strut and the fender, one more to tie down the bottom to either the belt guard or caliper bracket (depending on which side of bike). Five minutes and you're done, no muss, fuss, drilling or dents. Foolproof I think.

I have one of the Big Bad Dyna Latch Bags on each side of my Superglide and they look very retro to me and work well.

There has to be a better way to mount the bag other than putting dents in your bike. And make the bag work with the flip out license plate holder.

I am searching for a bag to cover that ugly **** battery cover. I like the looks of the Softail solo bags but they are too big for the Dyna battery cover space. IMHO a bag like the Softail solo with a straight top and angled bottom would be a good seller.

Here's what I did...diamond plate backing material. I could have also just mounted it on a side-plate but I opted for mounting it on the entire sissy bar. Rock solid...I also would LOVE a right side bag to mirror this setup...

On the bike pic...

Off the bike...quick and easy...

I don't like it. It loos like the shape of the softail bag which IMO doesn't flow well with the Dyna's. I really like how the solo bags on the softail mount to the swing arm instead of the strut. That in my eyes is what a saddle bag should look like. Unfortunately, that is where the limitation with the Dyna's are. If you are going to run a bag off the strut, you might as well run saddle bags. The best option in my opinion is the Licks solo bag which mounts on the Dyna's swing arm. It's not perfect but I feel it looks the best out of the available options.

Hey I'm sorry I don't, my digital camera is down and I haven't gotten another yet. But if you look on the GL website at the Big Bad Dyna Latch Bag that's the one. It looks great on both sides of my SG.

I'm surprised that more people don't put them on the right side too like I did. Sort of a mini-saddlebag effect. But Greg doesn't seem to promote the right side bag for some reason and although he'll build one if you ask he seems to kinda try to scare you about it fitting. Mine fits perfectly and like I said, looks great.

A real quality product too.
