If you want the flash speed of your signals to stay exactly the same then a load equalizer will be needed, however I have a couple of friends who have installed these without an equalizer and they only flash a little bit faster. They did not deem it enough of an issue to need the equalizer. But everyone is different. We have load equalizers for $50 too. These come with either smoked, amber or red lenses and in black or chrome for most bikes. NOTE: 05 and down Dyna's are only available in chrome for some reason.
