I"ve been waitin since Wednesday, and now sat here all night for the new winner...
It's now 5:03am EST MONDAY morning. No new winner posted that I can see. Tom must still be on his TGD weekend. Oh, well. The excitement is over for me now. Maybe I was so low on the list beneath the new winner I don't even get to see who won!

 

Wonder whats up? I'm not seeing the new winner yet. 3:54pm EST. Tom musta took vacation. Hope he is well...

Monday, November 30th, 9:08 PM EST, still no anouncement for last week's winner. It was supposed to be announced last night. I wonder if there ever will be?

 

Ok, so I'm still not seeing the new winner... Can anyone post a link to the correct page? I've checked this one many times as you can see by my posts. I've asked in the other thread I created last night. No answer yet. Just a couple people saying it has been posted. I've cleaned my cache/temp files out, refreshed the page many times. I still see the same winner for 11/22/2009...

Please, would some one enlighten a dumbass?

 

So, I go for years, knowing I don't need to enter raffles, contests, lotteries, etc. because I'm sure I'd never have the luck to win. Then I decide, one day, that hell I can't win if I don't enter. So I enter. Then come drawing day, and I'm the only one to show up. Not even the contest sponsor. Such is the story my life...

I can remember when Hurricane David was forecast to hit south Florida. We were a bit north of where it was to come onto land, so we decide to have a hurricane party. We gather a group of friends, and make sure we have supplies to sustain us all for 3-4 days. The day before the hurricane was to hit land, we all joined together in an appartment on the South Beach of Fort Pierce. We begin to party. We eat, we drink, we dance, we drink some more, we sing, we dance, and we eat. Then we drink more. This goes on for 48 hours. Some of us have drifted off to catch some sleep, some are still drinkin and eatin and partyin. Then a few others decide to get some rest. Only me and my wife awake now. Hurricane is due any moment. We tune the tv into the weather station. We listen. Still forecast to get nasty. We eat, we drink, we wait. Nothin happenin except a little rain, and wind gusting to almost 22mph. We watch the weather channel, the hurricane isn't coming this far north. We go to sleep, when we awaken, all the food is gone, all the drink is missing. The friends have all gone home. The hurricane has drifted off the other side of Florida and gone out into the Gulf of Mexico, then it turned north. It's not coming our way.

That's the story of the time we decided to hold a hurricane party. Everyone showed up but the hurricane. Story of my life.


I wonder what would happen if I were to open a 'Oil, syn or dino?' thread. Maybe I'd be thanked for ending the dreaded 'Oil, syn or dino?' threads forever...
