My bike is a daily rider as it the only transportation I have.
Do you feel that the bags are still waterproof after drilling them? The grommet looks pretty snug in the video.
I really want to do these, I think.

interestingly, I made a post about a year ago looking to see if anyone ever heard of something like this. I’m surprised someone hasn’t developed these before. I’ve always been happy with CD stuff, and hope these are as good as the other stuff I’ve gotten from you.

 

The wires in the grommet are pretty dang tight. You will find that out when you are trying to get the wires through. Short of driving your bike into a lake, your bags will not fill up with water. A little dab of silicone goes a long way for reassurance if you dont trust the grommet.

 

Seeing as how Custom Dynamics is watching this thread I can ask them why the hole and grommet are so big. Seems to me you could get away with a smaller hole and smaller grommet. I get it that a hole in the saddlebag is still a hole in the saddlebag, but sometimes smaller could be better. Had the local hardware store been open at the time I was installing mine I would have gone after some smaller grommets. I am just curious why they chose a grommet that big.

Snug as a bug! No water ingress, and we've had some serious rains here lately (ok more than usual 🥴 )
