Default Best resources to learn about all the parts of the twin cam motor and how they work.

In-depth. I love working on my ultra classic, most in-depth things I’ve done are handlebars and drive belt replacement.

i want to learn about each component primarily so that when I decide to upgrade I will know what to use so the parts will complement each other.

so if I upgrade certain things, I will know if other items will need to be upgraded as well to not become a weak link and prone to failing. I will know certain meanings and what certain upgrades will change.

Books, videos, websites, etc. right now everything is inidividual. I find one little topic and watch YouTube videos. Would love if there was a place to get a good chunk of this information more organized.

If you replaced the handlebars and Drive belt then you've removed the Comp, Clutch basket and inner primary, and assuming you got that all back together and working I'd say you have a pretty good handle on wrenching.
Upgrading does have some impact on other parts, but it's the parts your replacing with that dictate what else you want/need to do.
Not all upgrades require you to change anything else.
Depends on what you're doing with it and what your goals are.

Google "harley parts finder". Ronnie's has exploded diagrams and parts lists for all years and models since about late eighties. How they work would be in the Factory Service Manual for your year and model

A factory service manual will be priceless. Instructions are precise. YouTube videos are also very valuable. I learned to disassemble my motor before I tackled a cam swap on my 07 Flhtc. I swear I could have done it. I looked at those videos and step by step instructions so many times. When I actually did it I felt pretty confident.

Along with the parts manual. The only real way to learn is by doing. You can read and watch but retention will be lacking. Once you do something, especially if you ***** it up; you will not forget.
