Default 95 inch big bore break in

Hello guys. What is the recommended breaking for a 95 inch bb? 500 miles under 3000 rpm change the oil and ride as usual?

Also depends on the cylinders. Originals bored out or new. New cylinders have to be be heat cycled.

I do heat cycles. Start it up let it get warm for a few minutes. Shut it down. First 50 miles under 60 mph. Vary throttle. Give it some gas, but not full throttle.

This is my build. 95 in screaming eagle cast Pistons. 510 s&s cam, Vance & Hines pipe, mikuni 42, fueling lifters. Big boys streetport valve job, stock cylinders board to 95 in with torque plates. I have 455 MI on the amsoil 2050 that was in the bike before the build. Should I change the oil in 500 miles. Should I put fresh oil in now and then change it again in 500 miles. Am I safe running with the amsoil that already has 455 miles on it? It's been raining here in Florida for two days straight. I plan on having 500 Miles within a week on the bike.

Normally I put some cheap dino oil in it, then change around 500 miles.

Thank you for the replies. My question is I have 455 mi on the amsoil prebuilt can I run 500 miles on it, then change it and be done with it. Amsoil is $16 a quart. From my understanding and research top end break-ins do not produce as many metal filings as New motors.

I would just use it for break in. Then change around 500.

Some people will debate using syn for seating rings. I have heard some claims new vehicles come with syn. I do not know, I break in with dino casue cheap
