2015-SG-CVO help please
2015-SG-CVO ( FLHXSE ) Help please. I was getting noise from primary; I changed the compensator and installed dark horse man o war sprocket. I took it for a ride and started getting loud knocking noise and chain slap noise. The more throttle, the louder it got and then started losing power. The bike shut off and wouldn't restart. Cranks but won't turn over but makes a popping sound and smells like gas. Reopened the primary everything looks good; not sure what to do?

I added some punctuation to the OP for clarity but left the text as written by the OP.
JMHO but replacing the compensator with anything should not result in the the motor malfunctions listed in the OP. If the motor was performing normally before the compensator change, it should be running normally after; something else is going on?

I need help, please.
I was getting noises coming from my primary. It sounded like marbles and was progressively getting worse. After some research, I thought it might have been coming from the compensator. So I opened up the primary to inspect it and honestly didn't notice anything. But I decided to replace it anyway. So after removing the Screming Eagle compensator. I replaced it with the dark horse man o war sprocket. Once, I was done installing the man-o-war and putting everything back together. I started it up. Sounded ok at 1st. So I took it for a ride. Afterward, I started getting knocking noise and chain slap noise. It got louder and louder. But the bike ran strong. So I started doing some research and found others complaining about the noise. But they were being told it was normal. A few days later I decided to take another ride saying to myself maybe it was not that bad. Started riding about 3 miles down the road, and it sounded worse. The more throttle i gave it, the louder it got. Then I noticed it started losing power. I was on a toll rd, so i decided to get off the next exit and get her home. All of a sudden, the bike shut off and wouldn't restart. So, I had to get a trailer to get it back home. The next day, I tried to start her up with no luck. The bike would crank a few times, then sound like a backfire, but it wasn't a backfire hard to explain. But won't turn over, and after making the pop sound, it smelled like gas. Since then I reopened the primary. Besides, the oil looks darker than expected as well as more metal shaving on the drain plug magnet. Everything looks good. I'm not sure what else to do

I didn't see it anywhere...how many miles are on the bike? Unfortunately the 110 is notorious for being hard on the lifters. The lifters are crap to start with then add in the quick ramps on the 255s and the higher spring pressures and it's a recipe for a wrecked motor. I'd highly suggest you stop driving it or even trying to start it until it gets diagnosed and fixed. If it were mine or you brought it to me to look at the first place I'd look is the lifters.
