@snake_eyes @NorthWestern @Dan89FLSTC You guys haven't learned to just ignore Rounders. I still haven't figured out if his posts are designed to draw fire or that's just Rounders? However, I have learned to not rise to the bait and simply pretend he didn't post. I know, it's difficult but you can do it.

Buy it, throw the cams and lifters away and replace with aftermarket bagger cams an FP3 and Johnson Hylift Lifters, the stock lifters are garbage and I have seen the hardening come off them at 13K miles...well, before then actually but that was when we spotted them.

First thing I do when I buy a Harley (even my Shovel) is replace the lifters.

anything I should look out for? i know the early Twin Cams had tensioner issues. Don't know if they still do. any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,

Install an external breather so your bike won't carbon up your throttle body and pistons. Other than that, you should be Okay.

If I was getting bagger, I would not get one before 2014. The bags are a game changer, unless it is a money issue of course.
