I get hardly any oil in my catch can. Just a tiny bit of oil but a lot of water (1 to 1 1/2 ounces on start up and none after I ride about 20 miles) The question I asked was how much WATER does every one get? I am trying to see if I need to replace the breathers but because I get just a bit of oil I dont know if I need to change them. I am just concerned about the amount of water I get. So again I ask how much Water does every one get?
While I mention above that I get a couple OZ on the bike I show. Have another does the same.. What's you concern? That there is water? There will always be water. It's like 40% of the combustion process so some leaks past the rings. When the motor is hot it flows right out the breather. When the motor is cold, it condenses in the head and breather then gets blown out as a liquid. If you have a trap, you catch it.. If you don't like it, remove the trap and point the hose away from the rear tire. You can also hook it back up to the air cleaner..
