Well, good news, and… news?
I pulled the front rockers off and was happy (sort of?) to see no damage to the rocker arms or valve stems. The assembly was smooth, with fluid movement and not a hint of movement laterally. That’s the good news. However It looks like the pushrods may be out of alignment in as they look awfully close to the ports in the head. Now, this wasn’t fully tightened, so they may center more when torques down. Before I make any judgement, I’m going to reassemble the supports, and readjust the pushrods and have a look.
I’ll take more of the downward view when everything is tight. The Rocker contact points and the valve stems are completely smooth. The marks you are seeing are reflections. The surfaces are pristine
