I started with 98" revperf, and last year went back to bored 95". When I first built mine 96" bored was hottly debated. 98" nikalsil was the other option, I would not do nikal sil again, due to the cost to resleave and new pistons was close to new S&S cast iron kit. I am not sure if you can bore S&S .010 over. Some people may not care about any of this.

For me after 50k the nikal sil had marks on the thrust side.

Tearing my 98 down in the fall and riding again next summer, I don't notice a difference. If I got off 98" and jumped on 95" maybe I would. 95" is a tried and true set up. But I realize now there are more options.

It is possible to build a pretty strong 98" motor (I would not stop at 95") but it takes planning and parts the play well together. I built a 98" motor year before last shooting for 120/120 numbers but missed the mark; had to settle for 115/115. Not saying 120/120 is not possible but if the OP wants more than 115/115 a crank is in his future.

I don't know what the gearing is in the trikes but in addition to increasing displacement, perhaps a gearing change might be worth looking at.

I was going to suggest a gearing change as well.

Being a kit it's probably heavier than a normal trike, changing the gearing through primary and/or trans and wheel pulleys and a 95/98" torque build would make a world of difference
