Hey all, got an 06 FXDBI and its a salvage title, ive noticed the motor had been swapped shortly after buying it but didnt pay much mind to it cause it runs fine and pulls good. Anyways i got it tuned the other day and my tuner was arguing with me that its a 96 cause my ecu was tellin him its an 07 96ci. Figured they just swapped the ecu and called it a day but now im curious lol, fairly new to the HD game and cant seem to find a way to decode the serial number on the engine anywhere online. *FHM9604643* this is on the left side base of the motor stamped in and the last 6 dont match the vin on the frame. Any help?
