With 37k the lifters should become paper weights and be replaced with a quality brand name lifter. Also the inner cam bearings should be changed to a full compliment bearing from koyo. Lots of people bag on the 255s but they are a heck of a down low torque cam that can usually be found pretty cheap.
Screamin beagle, thank you for your help. I like the idea of opening the holes under the breather, I can do that. Never heard of Koyo, is there a difference? I'm thinking S&S lifters if I can still use my stock push rods. I don't like the idea of adjustable. Do you know of a way to make that bearing puller? I hate to buy one for a one time use. $250.

Torrington is Timken company; Koyo is Japanese both quality bearings. Don't know who makes the SE full compliment beaing but it is quality as well. IIRC, B168 is the bearing for '07. You can buy the bearing pull/intall tool for $50-$60 if you look around.

I put the S&S lifters in my O4 FXST when I did my 107 this year. Also went with Cometic as well. If you plan on keeping the bike long term, George's Garage make quality tools at a lower price than say Jim's. I've put 3 sets of cams in the bike and change the bearing every time. Cheap insurance. Course I had Darkhorse build me a crank and run gear drive.
