Default Fuel Moto Pushrod install issue

Hey guys, I am having an issue with the fuel Moto pushrod tubs and getting them installed. So, I have tried everything I can think of to install these pushrods and have had no luck. I can get them to almost zero lash, but by this time I am out of room to grip the pushrod to adjust them to get the almost 3 turns the I will need to get full adjustment. Has anyone else run into this issue with these pushrods, if so did you find a solution? I am really wishing now I would have ordered the S&S kit so that I could have gotten the shorter tubes to help in adjusting.
Does anyone have a set of the S&S tubes they want to come off of? LOL

I just installed a set of these in a TC 96. I was able to hold my thumbnail against the upper part of the pushrod and spin the lower half to zero lash. I used a small bungee to hold up the pushrod cover. You have to be careful with the bungee. You'll have to hold the tube away from the pushrod. If you don't it will feel like zero lash when it's not. When I tightened the jam nut I had to use the wrench to push up on the tube. Mark the upper and lower parts of the pushrods so you don't lose your place.

The shorter covers would have been nice but you only have to do it once. I've been a mechanic all of my adult life and it was a little tricky.

Yeah, my dad has been a mechanic all his life and has been cussing me on these lol. I am going to give it another shot tomorrow and see if I can get a different result, but I am very upset with myself on these for sure.
I have the tubes held up with rubber bands and paperclips and was trying to help shove up on the tube while my dad was trying to adjust them.

It can be done but it is very tight. We used the rubber band with paper clip trick to hold the tubes upward..

Did FM not send their holder with the pushrods? It'll push the cover up farther than what a rubber band will hold

I couldn't find one on the Fuel Moto site but this tool would be nice.

Yeah, I have been using the rubber band and paperclip method. I am going to hit it again this morning to see if I can have a better outcome. Going to look and see if I can find me a thinner 1/2 inch wrench too and see if I can have a better outcome today.

I guess I am just super annoyed that when I asked on their pushrods the ease of adjustment and all they told me that it was super easy because I was going to spend the money and get the S&S setup and here I am, down because their setup wasn't as easy as they explained it to be.
