I really don't care who made them first. Lot of identical or near identical cams. That exhaust will do well with all the overlap. Be interesting to see how this turns out on a dyno.

A flat top at 110” would get you 10.6/7ish. Thats the 888 sweet spot, I think most kits come flat tops and would like to know who has a domed option. To push past 11:1 would open up other cams too, maybe, dare I say it………the cam that just can’t be overlooked in these situations. For those that don’t cry (over a little noise) and whine like little babies begging for the bittie………… the cam with the single digit designation, the 8!?

Both Carillo and S&S offer 3cc domes that'll yield 11.2:1.. That would be quite the setup for the W8.. But I think the 888 would have a little better low end..

Bobby’s 888 is based directly on his original W8 Evo grind that originated in the 90’s (and later the TW8 & TW8-6). I asked him for a specific revision about 10 years ago for use with stock valve springs and less aggressive ramps; he took the TW8-6 changed the lobe centers to 100 degrees, changed lift to .575 and created the 888. I still have the original test cam in my library, it’s a fantastic grind

I have to agree about the W8 grind.. Several years ago I spoke with Bob Wood about changing the opening and closing to numbers that I thought would would satisfy lower compressions.. It was for my 96"Evo that I was running a 9b in and that can I felt out performed the 9b. He labeled it a W6EXP.. It hi earlier than the 9b and carried just as far.. still have it.. the first sheet is the W6EXP and the second is the 9b.. All I'll say it's the W6EXP had an LSA of 103..

Hearing you loud and clear, I remember a conversation we had years ago on the TW8-6. Still my all time favorite Twin Cam camshaft. I fairly recently used it in a bit different configuration, did a low compression (9.0:1) moderate boost (20 lbs) 107” motor for our Dyna Switchback shop bike and used the TW8-6, I used a set of raised port big valve heads from Gary Williams I had sitting in the back room because the chambers were too big, they worked out perfect for the turbo motor. Motor ended up super quiet, very responsive, and made 220Hp on pump fuel with VP additive. Bike is parked in our showroom, one of these days we’ll get it a crazy paint job and make something of it. Love that cam

Those charts are very nice examples 👍, I also really like the 9B in a big Twin Cam with enough cylinder head to support it, a tick more compression and the 9F really lights up even more. I’ve always enjoyed Bob’s uncanny ability to adapt his cam patterns over different platforms

A little OT... What about his M8 cams?

Compression will help carry out the top end too. Don't be afraid of going 210 with a good tune. I run 212psi with no issues. CP's 3cc and 85cc chambers put me at 205 with the 590s. I asked Don what he felt comfortable with and like he said. Compression is nothing to fear. Anything will ping if you lug it. F'k it take it to 210 I said and ended up where it is.
I really do want to see where you end up with that exhaust. I have the same thing sitting here yet and love the sound. I like the Pro Streets too tho.
