I see you are re-thinking the 110 kit? Anytime I can get the targeted results with flat top pistons, I will go that route. I think you will regret not going the bigger bore route. JMHO.
I thought DT pumps were only for late model plates. Did you upgrade the plate and run conversion cams or possibly a SE plate that used later pumps?

I looked at the R&R and the SE. I have slept a few nights since then but IIRC, I went with the SE plate to save some $$. The DT pump was pretty pricey.

Can you get 3cc dome pistons for the 103 to 110 kits?
If you can go with 11.2 cr, I would be using a different cam than the 888's. Yeah maybe you can tune it but i think it might be too tempermental. How much lift are your heads setup for? If good for .600+, Mackie 598. If good for. 630+ lift, maybe woods 9b
888's with the flattops.
Either way I would address the crankshaft issue. Now your weak link

I agree with the DM 598s. Talk to Dorfman on setting the heads up for them. He !over those cams. Should still leave you around 200psi CCP going 11.2 and 85cc chambers. Ask me how I know...Had this conversation with Don.

Yeah,, The DM598 is pretty much a copy of the Woods 9B except a few added degrees to allow for softer ramps.. Both are good cams..

With any of those I would do 1.980/1.615 valves and an HPI 55/58 Max Flo. 1.80 runners.

I'm not looking to max this thing out... And the definite is the triple 8's... Like I said earlier 190 CCP is still enough to drive those cams..

But if I do go with Pistons and higger compressions it most likely will be the 3 CC domes to put me at 11.2...

You do know those 888s are the Tman 590s with less lift and more overlap. The LSA of them will make for a narrower power band thsn the 590s too. Just pointing that out.
What exhaust will you be going with?

Except one is a single pattern and the other has some advance ground into it, but yea "pretty much the same". You could say that of most cams with mid 240s for duration and high lift

And I thought you didn't like cams with advance in them?

I believe it's the other way around...T-Mann Performance started on 1997.. Bob wood was making cams for Shovelheads back in the 70's
Keeping my stock head pipes with Rush 2 1/4" louvered slip ons..
