Wood's lifters have .200" plunger travel, we like to set the pushrod in the last 1/3 of the travel.

Obviously FM has great luck with them, as have others. That's why my buddy chose to purchase them, he had stock lifters in with his cam but he went to a 107 and Level B heads from FM, switched the lifters to the Woods. We literally unbolted the lifter blocks, pulled the stock ones and put Woods in. Cam chest was never open. Had one sticking and would NOT pump up, didn't even take 1min to bleed down when we were adjusting pushrods. He contacted Bob directly and that's when the blame started, at first it was aeration because of a cut oring on the suction side of the pump. When he heard we never had the cover off then it was contamination... Well there was contamination somewhere, but not from us. We tore all the lifters apart and one had a F'd plunger and metal chips in it. No warranty sorry! I'm glad FM gets treated right, and I tried to talk my buddy out of them, but oh well. I'll stick with Comp

Whoa... talk about a heart stopping moment...!!!

The couple times I've changed pistons, I had nightmares about doing that....

Glad you got it out and are back on track...
