Default No muss no fuss filter change

Figured I’d throw this out there in case it could help someone. Got a funnel kit off amazon that had a primary funnel, skinny funnel, and a funnel that went under the oil filter to catch the oil drain from it. Well of course it wouldn’t fit so I improvised. Makeshift cardboard funnel viola!

You could cut up the whole box, paint them orange and sell them for 29.99

Cardboard is your friend!

I generally use the oil-catcher thing-a-ma-bob under the filter but it seems no matter how careful I am there is oil that makes it to the floor…

No more - thanks to the cardboard!

Hahahaha here’s the toy for your viewing pleasure. The chrome filter got swapped for a fram ultra, so no more sacrilege. Always have cardboard on deck to make drip funnels like that or to protect the garage floor from stray oil.

Nothing new.. Been using the box of a Budweiser 30 pack for years.. And if you want to do the primary just slide the white divider from the 30 pack between the frame and inner primary..

I have been using kitchen foil and shop tissue paper under the filter.

I have a pair of those small pliers (uncoated handles), came from a Honda toolkit back in 1973 or 74.
