Hard start when warm
2013 FXDF fatbob 103. Had the top end rebuilt and put in a S&S big bore 107 kit. The bike already had high compression pistons for the 103 and se 259e cams.
with the small break in the weather in Boston I decided to take it out of storage to start the brake in period. It fired right up out of the box. Took her for a 25 mile ride. Stopped for a bit. Then went to start it again and it struggled. This happened a few times. Seems to struggle to start when the engine is hot. But cold starts fine.
I’ve done some searches and found that this is a common problem and could be the compensator. But I’d rather not just throw parts at it and find something more definitive. The battery has been on a tender and passes a voltage test. However I just noticed that it is only 320 cca. Wondering if this is too low for the increased compression and power?
On another note after the first 50 miles I changed the oil. Took it for a ride and stopped it. Same thing on startup… turned over but would not start. Seemed to roll a bit slower but finally did start. After cruising a bit I put it on the jiffy stand to let it idle for a minute before shutting it down to check the oil level. While idling the EITMS kicked in. Not sure if it’s related or a separate problem or any problem at all. But I would think that driving around very easy to break in at low rpm’s and not in traffic with temps in the mid 40s the bike should cool fine without the EITMS kicking in at idle for less than a minute.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I know it's not quite the same, but a bad tune did this to my stock TC 96. If I stopped just long enough to fill up the gas tank it would sputter like it was flooded.
Sometimes it would stall the starter out and grind. I found it better to start the bike with the throttle cracked a bit or hit the starter before the fuel pump had a chance to prime.
It hasn't happened since I switched from the FP3 to the Power Vision. I'm not an expert, but the Vance and Hines tune was richer and had more aggressive timing than what Fuel Moto sent me.
