Default Advice about motor

2009 street glide S&S 107, S&S 585 ez start cams, cam plate, oil pump, big sucker air cleaner, drag pipes, and thunder max auto tuner. Issue I am having is motor is running lean and rocker box gaskets keep failing and leaking oil, I have had it in the shop multiple times and keep getting the same result leaks within the first 100 miles after new gaskets are installed. Any advice appreciated thank you!

Are they powder coated by any chance?

No they are oem wrinkle black, I bought new ones after the second time they leaked since the first set was powder coated and I thought that might have been the issue.

I doubt the bike is running lean but would not be surprised if there is too much timing.

Are you sure about the shop? IMO it's impossible for the rocker boxes to leak after 100 miles unless something is really wrong.. Bike might be sumping.

Maybe the mech is installing the gaskets wrong? Stock heads? Maybe the bike got hot enough to warp the top of the head?

Plugs are white and that usually indicates motor running lean, I didn’t think to pull the cam cover and check the timing, and to think about it I do recall my oil pressure idling pretty high. As for the gaskets being installed wrong IDK the bike was running really hot so maybe a warped head, what would be my best approach? New heads and check timing and possibly valve adjustments?

I'd be wondering about the shop , do they charge you each time to keep fixing the same issue ? Can they explain whats going on ? Not to be a jerk but it may be time to check out a different shop , maybe someone can recommend someone in your area .

With today's gas, they are supposed to be white.

I have moved since so the shop is no help. At first they were working with me to try and figure it out but never got it fixed before I moved 1300 miles away.

Blowing gaskets could indicate a breather problem.

thats what I was thinking, make sure the umbrella valves are installed correctly and the breathers are assembled correctly. Sure sounds like it's building crank case pressure and pushing it past the gasket.
