I would trust Fuelmoto… their service preceeds them.

I've had my own share of flub-ups but SnS ain't to far behind.
This was a S&S crank bought new in '17, the front deck height was off side to side by a bunch, they made it good, labor not included.
Stuff happens I guess.

I'll agree with that. I'm not saying **** doesn't get past them. And nothing against FM. I've talked to Jamie quite a bit actually. But FM and S&S aren't even in the same league. Really can't compare one to the other.

It's like comparing Joe Namath to Babe Ruth.. The are not even in the same sport.

I have to agree with this. I learned this lesson the hard way. Fuel Moto customer service is above and beyond.

When it comes to cranks It's still S&S hands down. They build the cranks. FM just installs them. Where is the potential greater for mistakes? Same with all the parts that are actually theirs.
I'm a little biased having grown up in their back yard but still...they've been around doing this stuff for decades for a reason.
I do think people tend to over exaggerate the stock crank issues and the timken conversion is nothing but an unnecessary feel good money maker for builders pushing it. Show me stock cranks where there's any more issues with the lefty bearings than with the timken tapered.

This guy kind of puts in perspective.

If a Darkhorse crank, or S&S, with Timken bearing is over kill, I will take it. Call it a waist of money or peace of mind. If I pay high dollar for a stage IV kit, I'm taking it out for a proper flogging on a regular basis, just to confirm that I got what I paid for.

The guy from S&S that did my crank won't even take your $$$ for a timken conversion. Mine gets flogged every time it's out.
