rocker box noise
Hi, I'm checking a tc88b 75000millas, which arrived with several noises, some loose cam followers, and loose rocker arms, after putting everything new plus some rocker locker, I find this noise at high temperature, it's in the rocker box of the rear cylinder, verified everything the only thing that was found was a broken valve seal, just where the noise comes from..
opinions?
This noise has not come out after the repair!

The noise sounds just like the one Reaper, my 2005 Night Train (TC88B bored out to 98ci) is making. I couldn't nail down exactly where the noise was coming from, but I found the compensator nut had come loose and destroyed the rotor and stator, but after replacing the broken parts, and making SURE the nut is torqued down, with lots of red loctite, the noise remains. I'm about to have the cases split, and a stroker crank installed, with the belief that the noise is coming from the bottom end - either the crank or counterbalancer system. Her engine has over 350,000 kms on the original bottom end.
I'm subbing to this thread to see if you figure out your problem, and it isn't the bottom end.
Here's a video of my noise (first 30 - 40 seconds), and the loose comp nut, etc... :
Best of luck tracking the noise down.
Cheers!

Just a follow-up. Today, I did a cold compression test, and got 245 psi front/240 psi rear, so I eliminated a blown head gasket as the possible cause of the noise. I got a stethoscope, and listened around the engine. I finally isolated the noise, when I put the probe under the center bolt between the cylinders, on the crankcase. The noise is definitely coming form the bottom end.
At least I know for sure, now.
Cheers!
