Default Air cleaners

Just putting it out there to anyone with dyno results. Which SE air cleaner setup performs better on a 103 twin cam. The ventilator or the rail. Have both and going for a dyno tune in the spring.

Screaming Eagle parts are EPA friendly, so I stay away from them completely. Look at aftermarket to make more power. Try DK Customs.

SE are junk.
Get DK=Dyno tuned, even their oil filters.

There tourpak replicator kit. Is sitting on my garage floor. I don't trust it not to damage my tourpak. Figured out why they didn't include a pic.

So myself I don't know if I trust their judgement.

For years people did se with k&n filter. It's just an air filter.

I guess the question is though, what do you want to do with hoses.

Maybe I am not putting enough thought into this.

I've only run DK air cleaners. So have my daughter and son-in-law. On 5 different bikes between us. 3 Sportsters and 2 Twin cams. Also run their catchcans.

I've run Arlen Ness Big Sucker with oiled element (200CFM), and his 65 degree (somewhere over 200CFM) dry element on my stage 1 103, both performed well but don't have a kit to bypass the crank pressure but one could be fabricated.

Fillter housing doesn't matter; it's the filter. Example; Trask kits include a Chinese filter which should be replaced with a K&N. Learned that the Trask filter is deficient on the dyno with a friend's recently built 107. HP stalled about 120+, replaced filter with K&N and HP hit 127. The SE Heavy Breather performs well, running it on my 98" build at 115/115.

Was doing some searching. Found DK customs new transformer external breather. Is anybody out there running this? Looks pretty slick.
