Yes. Like Max wrote : If you loosen or remove the fill cap, it will drain.

Goober called this morning claiming success.
I told him to look between the shocks with a 5/8 socket as mentioned here.
Apparently he found it and remembered me telling him to pull the oil bag fill plug for flow.
He had been pulling the one on the bottom of his case.

Doh! The one between the shocks is the transmission drain! The oil bag drain on a Softail is on the side! See my picture I posted.
