Well the way you see things, I can understand..

Hey now, I resemble that remark.

I always take a pic showing the marks for future verification without a tear down too.

Agree; the front cam dot is not dead nuts on at 9:00; back side timing marks will tell.

I will take the cams out of the plate to verify. Unfortunately I probably won’t get back to the bike until Monday. I won’t be around this weekend. So, stay tuned. I appreciate all the input so far.

Here's another one.. Chances are that the breather bleed was simply too high of an oil level.. Especially if the problem occured while cruising at high speeds.

You don't have to take the cams out of the plate to verify. The timing marks are clearly visible with the cams in the plate.

True but I'd still drill out the drains and put the updated stamped breather assembly in. But that's me. I always ride 3000rpm and up.

Punch marks on the cams were off by a tooth. I am at a stand still until early next week now due to upcoming travel. When I get home I will get this thing back together and let everybody know how it goes. I also intend on replacing the umbrella valves at some point this season. But prior to that I will divert the breather bolts down and out of the intake. I’m looking at BARB NPT fittings and some fuel line to a small breather. 3/8” sound good or can I go smaller?
