88 Inch Puking Oil from Air Cleaner (Another thread)

So I have this old girl torn apart. I’m in the cam chest and see no obvious signs or issues. Orings are intact in good shape . Oil pump looks good on the inside. I can tell you today I was thinking about the oil pump. And I don’t recall putting assembly lube on the rotors. But upon inspection I see no scoring or any other issues. Cam timing looks to be good. Perhaps my pump alignment is bad? I will re-install everything most likely tomorrow. But here are some pics of the cam chest and components. I did pump alignment in accordance with my year model. Is there possibly another alignment procedure for this newer style cam plate?

Depending on the cams, there should be marks on the sprockets without removing the cams.. Front cam looks like it's advanced which would explain the difference in compression.

@Steve Helton 2 That SE Cam Plate and high-flow oil pump - while not a Fueling-grade - are superior over the stock plate and pump. Not really the issue. Besides, he’s already made that purchase.

I think the cams appearing off might be an optical but can't hurt to check on the sprockets. Almost have to be off really. Easier to tell on the sprockets for sure. My t man cams only had marks on the inside of the sprockets and I marked the other side with a marker so I could verify after they were assembled in the plate just for this reason and I still double and trickle check.
To answer your question, the pushrod adjustment could not cause your issue(s) and technically .105 is not off anyway. Just .125 assures quieter operation is all.
That's a stock plate, btw. Not SE.
