Huge loss of power was the first thing I noticed. Bike wasn't throwing any codes. I thought maybe a fuel pump ,filter issue.
Ran the bike with pressure gage and had 60 at idle and when riding. ( slow for diagnoses ) Spayed for air leaks.
Took it out for a very small test ride. I rolled the throttle to about 3k, let loose of the throttle and engine breaking about through me
over the handle bars.
Pulled the 1/4 plug under the case and sure enough about 1.5-2 qrts of oil came out. I also had brass in the oil.
Going to pull the cam chest and take a look. I already scissored a crank on my 05 road king. I really hope it didn't happen again on this bike.
as to when, It couldn't have been to long. I checked my oil a few rides back and level was fine. Not when I checked during diagnoses.

That's a lot of oil; oil pump failed? no scavenging? Brass would come from the pinion bushing which would indicate excessive runout whipping out that bushing; bronze bushing supporting outer cam journals could also be a source of that debris. Did you check crank runout when you did the 110 upgrade? Doesn't sound good; let us know what you find.

Sumping has nothing to do with the oil light unless all of the oil is in the motor and none in the tank. The pump has 2 parts, one part pumps oil in and the other out. The oil light is connected to a passage on the feed side pump. The return side pump fail is what what causes severe sumping. With that much oil you'd best pull the pump and inspect. Questions related to the build should include: What oil pump was used? Was the inner oil pump O ring replaced? Was an oil pump alignment done on assembly? and of course Don's, What was the crank runout?
