Default Poor flowing Trask air filter fix

The cheap chinese filter that comes with the Trask Air Assault hit a wall at 120hp/5000rpm. Just got off the phone with K&N and we're 99.9% sure the K&N E-3226 is the exact fit replacement. On!y thing not 100% sure of is if the groove for the cover is actually 5 1/8" in diameter. Sure appears to be tho. He didn't have that spec available.
Dennis Kirk has them in stock and list them as fitting S&S E and G model carbs as well.
For anyone with a Trask air assault, this is the filter to run.

Trask was no help at all.

On another note, Bassani stood behind their pipes and an issue with the chrome finish. They don't have a set of the Pro Streets Turnouts in stock atm but are making some for me as we speak. No.questions asked and I can keep the old pipes. That's customer service at it's finest!.

Send the damaged pipes to Performance Coatings, get them ceramic coated, inside and out, whatever color best matches the bike; they have several.

Get them coated Satin Black and we can talk. Those would look good without the heat shields and the coating.

I know you like that look. That's why I said that. Not sure how it would look on my bike with all the chrome on a gloss black bike tho. Not opposed to the possibility. The finish on them isn't the greatest I'm afraid.

Seriously, I might be interested if you decide to part with them. IIRC, ceramic coating short v-twin systems, inside and out, plus flanges runs about $200 plus shipping.

This is what I've been leaning towards doing when I get the new set. Chrome sux when it goes bad and the finish on these is on the cheaper side no doubt.
