Also depends on intake and exhaust changes too.

Agreed; that's why the OP has to ride the bike to see what the motor wants.

i said those are your choices. I have the tool, which is handy for when in the bike But when I had cases a part, I think it would have been easy to press out too.

I bought them years ago from George's garage, which was more. But now you got knocks off companies making them. Though the off brand cam bearing installer for the plate, had me wondering if could be off a hair.

Problems at 12k is very rare, and surprises me a little. But if a guy wanted to he could also do complete gasket set. But if it aint leaking, i wouldn't.

I'd do 95", low compression, mild cams, port, gears/hydro tensioners. Check tranny shifter and jack shaft for leaks too. Either that with so of miles, I would ride, and wait for a leak.

2002 with a timken bearing, would make a nice build for some power.

So ride it for the season, and see.

I also wouldn't be surprised he finds some leaks. single lip seal on tranny shifter for one.

And that's all good. I just thought it sounded misleading when I read "Split the cases to replace the bearings". For just the inner bearings nobody needs to pull the motor and split the cases. Sorry, I'm pretty literal. And OCD... Also, the tool picture I posted is the one I have. Made in the USA and works great. It's a copy of Jims I think.

I laugh how people throw around OCD these days. OCD would have read it correctly.

I would read it you need to buy the tools to remove, or split the cases and press out. Or did you mean, I don't think you are smart enough to be OCD?

Whoa, hold up there killer! I didn't insult you, so don't go there okay? No need to get butt hurt and go personal. Of course you would read it that way, you wrote it! All I'm saying is...why would you split the cases to change the inner bearings? Geez now I'm repeating myself. Oh, oh, mental retardation I guess. How about we just reset? I don't understand what you're saying.

All I wrote was there is two ways to do it. Of course splitting case would be extreme.

I do think OCD is over used, and not correctly.
