Only day and half off but got the motor in, tranny bolted up, all the mounts torqued and started putting odds and ends back on it. The guys setting the motor in for me wanted to go ahead and do it before I had time to do the in take. Having a jack to raise or lowered the engine getting it bolted in is a must do as reading the manual close. I spent 30 minutes trying to fish the pivot bolt on the back of the tranny threw. Could not get the spacer on the left side in place. I had left the 4 bolts holding the tranny to the case loose so I could have some wiggle room...wrong. Manual said to bolt and torque those 4 bolts 1st leaving the top motor mount loose. When I did this spacers slid in no problem. Also remember to install drive belt before installing pivot bolt.

Why did you pull the tranny?

Cool build man, I like your attention to detail. Should be a strong runner.

Sent the cases in and had Darkhorse put in one of their cranks.

Man I just keep finding things. Assume run out in the old Crank did the rotor. Now I know where those shavings were from. Then went to install the coil and found front stud was corroded off!

I would look into cycle electric for rotor. In fact, I would look into one of their 3 phase systems. (rotor, stator, regulator).

It's a common problem with 03 up to the tc 6 speeds, Cut 0.060" off the bottom of the crank nut. The sleeve part of the nut bottoms out of the crank splines and keeps the nut from providing adequate clamping pressure on the comp/rotor stack up.
