Showed up today! Swapped out those swing arm bearings today. PIA! Scott at Hillside hopes to have my heads and cylinders next week!

Did you save money for a better pump and skip the Timken conversion?

I notice my oil tank is a bit fuller with the same amount of oil running the DT 3 stage pump. Better, dual port scavenging means no oil drag on the crank. The stock pump can't keep up. Especially at higher rpm and leaves oil in the crank side. I always had a minimum of 8oz left in mine with the stock pump.
I had to add a good 6 oz more oil than I use to when I changed it last week to get it to the full mark. Another clue it's not sitting in the crank side of the cases and I'm getting ALL the old oil out on a change.
My oil isn't full of aerated bubbles after a high rpm run that hurts engine protection. Another benefit of the DT cam plate besides adjustable oil pressure.
I've also programmed my PV tune to turn my idle down to 920rpm once engine temps reach 280°F to help with heat sitting in traffic on those 90°+ days without fear of starving the top end of oil. Try that with the stock pump and the oil light would be flickering.
Who cares if it sumps sitting in the garage for a week. Stock pumps are known to do the same thing and it literally takes less than 2 minutes for it all to return to the tank once it's fired up with this pump. It would take a month of Sundays with the stock pump and even then not all of it would return.
R&R Cycles set my relief valve up @ 42psi which seems about perfect and still have the scavenge pumps able to keep up. Stock pump is what? 32psi? Dropping to like 5psi at hot idle. And scavenges from the cam side only leaving oil in the crank side

Looking good. When are you expecting the rest of your parts?

Well yes and no!🤣 May be wasted money but there's a Timkin bearing in the lower now and a brand new blue cam plate and pump on my shop shelf. In fact everything in the cam department will be new: cam plate, oil pump, lifters, .570 gear. Talked to Scott Thursday. Jugs are bored and hopefully have the heads and everything out this week. Fingers crossed. The rebuilt lower looks sweet. For what i paid it should! Even got a set of new Inner cam bearings all read installed and assembly lubed.

Finally it begins! I'm going to have some questions coming up with it team! (And yes everything is back bagged. Just couldn't resist on before pic)😉 Also just checked run out both sides. Most I could fine with a VERY unprofessional set up.

Finally bolted the rocker box tops on today b4 work. Been a slow go with basically 24 hour turnarounds for the last 2 months. Quick question. Any reason I can't bolt the intake and Mikuni carb with the air filter back plate on before I put it in the frame? Don't see why not but going to have a couple large 20ish year old guys from the plant stop by one afternoon and help me slide it in the frame and don't want to get it half way in only to have to set it back up and pull the carb.

I`d install the manifold for certain
Might be easier to hook up throttle cables with the carb off

What's the plan for the actual motor install besides 20yr old muscle. I have never installed a B motor but have installed a couple of A motors. Last time by myself. Went pretty smoothly and I'm old. But I'm sure the B motor is a little heavier
