Primary oil after 24h
Hi,
I did some oil changes yesterday after installing a new pulley. After a test ride today I noticed that it was leaking oil from my shift lever and I suspect that I might have forgotten the gasket inside the primary. So I just drained the brand new oil from the primary and to my surprise it’s almost black?! This can’t be normal? What can be the cause of this in that case?
Thanks!

My oil in the primary has never looked like that with 50K.
Have you been running a non detergent gear oil like Formula + for non filtered gear boxes and switch to a high detergent motor oil?
I usually change all 3 ever 5k however. Been in primary twice and walls are filmed in black.
As long as you're getting 14.2 or so volts DC at around 2000 rpm, alternator is good and your good
