Default hard starting

2007 EGC , pc3,k&n 6" air filter, rhinehart exhaust. after riding and getting up to normal temperature, starting is hard. motor turns over just seems like it is starving for fuel. when turning bike on the fuel pump whirs up like normal . battery tested out good . plugs good { gap and color }. after it sits for a bit it will start right up. ideas or thoughts appreciated. thx in advance

how many miles?
When was the last time you replaced fuel filter?
Could be that dreaded pin hole leak in the high pressure hose inside the tank.

Still possible you have that pinhole leak if the high pressure hose was not routed differently than stock..........
It rubs against a brace in there.

With gas cap off.........
maybe about 1/4 tanks of fuel
listen(and even look) inside of tank while turning on ignition.......
Sound like it's spraying in there?
That's the leak that takes just enough pressure away so it won't start.
Then it will start out of the blue for no reason........finicky as hell!!!!

That's what my issue was at about 35k miles
manual says should change fuel filter every 25 miles.

Can you test to see what your fuel pressure is? It should be between 55-62.

You can even use a small LED flashlight or a cell phone light to look inside the tank......if you see any fuel spraying in there, time to replace the filter, regulator and hoses in there.
