Pressure relief valve question
Hello all,
I’m brand new to Harley having just picked up an 03 Electra Glide. I was told by the guy I bought it from that I need to depress the pressure relief valves in each cylinder before each ride. I have no experience with this at all and this morning forgot to click them down before riding to work. During the ride, had oil low out from under the intake cover in the right side. Is this a possible side effect of not relieving pressure before riding?
When am I supposed to use these relief valves.
Thanks for the help in advance

Chances are you have a 95" or larger engine, for those compression releases to be installed.
The air cleaner oil can be helped often by lowering the amount of oil in the tank by approx 1/2 quart, but better yet, open the breather drains in the rocker support plates to .130" +/-, something we do on every build here.
