Default Changed exhaust, but can't tune

Just worried it may cause damage if driven long-term.

Have a 103TC in a 2013 Fat Bob. All stock, including air cleaner.
Put on Vance Hines slip-ons but cannot tune ECU. (long story, but have FP3 with bluetooth issues)
Pipes look nice and I really don't want to take them back off.

Do you think its ok to leave them on and just ride it???

If you just changed the slip-on mufflers you have nothing to worry about.

^^^^not true,
with slip ons and a high flow air cleaner, it needs to be tuned. throw the FP3 away as its worthless and either take it to a dyno shop and have it tuned, or get yourself a Powervision.
The TTS MasterTune and the PV are the best things out there, but real tuning takes time and experience, best to take it to a pro and then ride and have fun.

Put your stock AC back on for now and ride. Even with AC you would likely be fine.

He said in his post, he retained the stock AC. his closed loop system wont be perfect but the stock tune will be fine at most cruising rpm's, closed loop system.

Agreed, if you only added slip ons you are fine. If you change the air cleaner / intake you will need a tune

Ride it! Slip ons only the stock ecm will adjust accordingly. Would it benefit from a proper tune, absolutely. Is it necessary absolutely not. Ride it!

After riding check for error codes. That should give you a little feedback about being rich or lean.

While you can see the various opinions of individuals, the bottom line is your pipes can lean out the air/fuel mixture. Even the manufacturer’s instructions state it needs a tuner. If you cannot get the FF3 to work yourself, you need to find someone who can.

I doubt anyone who says run it as is will give you money to fix your motor if it gets hurt due to excessive heat.

I'm with Toe Cutter.

Here is a thread I started back in 2019, I think it will help you.
