I think you are right, my '99 is Mystic & I did not realize they changed to Swede Green Peal in 2000. Now I want to see two of them side by side to see the difference.
2002 had the near bullet proof cranks in them. The newer ones after 2003 had cranks that a crap. The 2002 will last you a long long timr=e with just regular matinence. The only thing I dont like about it is the fuel injection as parts can be hard to find but that can easily be changed to carb and you will have a live long bike that can be handed down to a loved one. That wont happen with the newer ones.

thought 2002 was the first year for the delphi fuel injection? If it checks out just buy it...its not priced that far away. Buy what you can afford...everyone has a "don't buy this year" story. If that's your deciding factor then just go buy a new bike because pretty much every year there's some type If improvement or incremental change that hd does to keep people wanting a new one. Good luck
That’s the plan. If the Indy says it’s solid, I’m getting it. Already plan on new tires, and a full 15k service. Yes 2002 was first year of the Delphi injection. The seller is meeting me at the Indy shop tomorrow with the bike, we shall see!!
