2002 that has not been jacked with can be a solid bike to own. If not done it will need cam Chain intentioner looked at . May as well update to HYD. $7.500 is high. More like $5,000 range but if you ok with $7,500 . It won't madder much a few years down the road.
You will not flipp it at that price. Buy it and keep it.

I’d go for a newer one, 2009+ for the new frame.

Yeah it will be a keeper. Not going to flip it. KBB says the average retail in my area is 7100.

Old guys don't need money, give him a couple days, he'll come down. They make them every day, lot's of good bikes out there, personally, I'd go 09 up !

I agree at heart on the 09 and up. Maybe I’ll hold off and put more cash together. Local dealers had some nice ore owned ones, but I hate dealing with dealers. I guess the one good thing about getting a pre owned bike from a dealer, is that its all gone through mechanically etc?

The 2002 RK is one of the best HDs made. The only issues are cam tensioners and the plastic breather valves. At 17K the tensioners are likely OK but should be checked. If the motor ain't bleeding of the breather the plastic breathers may be OK but not hard to change. BTW This bike with mag wheels, upgraded suspension will out handle the 09 ups. If fuel injected, you might have to go through tank.

What do you think about the 7500.00? I plan on taking it to the local Indy and have it checked over before I buy of course.
