Had a lifter shed a bearing roller, it would occasionally ping as it was thrown around the engine intermittently. You should take a look before it gets expensive.

I didn't find anything to be honest. The "tik" still exists. Definitely not a ping or clack clack.

Did you pull the cam cover and rocker boxes ?

I didn’t yet. But I’ll be doing a cam job this winter and will def check.
